This Sunset Sunday, the Picture Perfect photo I chose to share with you is actually one of my own.
I took this photo about a month ago while I was in Cream Ridge, NJ for a Talking About Curing Autism (TACA) benefit at the Cream Ridge Winery. I couldn’t get over the way the sunset seemed to split the sky in half. To the right, the sky is dark and moody with just the tiniest suggestion that the sun has been there at all. But over slightly to the left, the sky is bursting with life from the warm sunset.
This image has gotten me thinking a lot about perspective and how many times, what we see really depends on the way we choose to look at things. It was just as easy, from where I stood that evening, to look up at the sky and see the sunset as it was to look up at the sky and not see it; an entire sky filled with a beautiful sunset or an entirely dark sky could have both filled up my camera lens. The choice was up to me.
I hope that you enjoy this photo, and that you’ll look for the “sunset side of the sky” whenever you can…
